Your trust matters to me. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information I collect when you join the Future Memory community, how I use it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
This website and the Sunday Remembering newsletter are run by Donna Laine (Future Memory & The Remembering Technique™), based in Winchester, United Kingdom. I am the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach me any time at donna@donnalaine.com.
I do not collect special category data, and I never ask for financial details by email.
I use your details for one purpose: to send you the Sunday Remembering newsletter and occasional related updates about Future Memory.
My lawful basis is your consent. When you sign up, I send a confirmation email and only add you to the list once you click to confirm (this is called double opt-in). You are free to withdraw that consent at any time — see "Your rights" below.
I use Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) to store my mailing list and send emails. Mailchimp acts as a data processor on my behalf and may process data on servers outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. I do not sell, rent or trade your personal data with anyone, ever.
I keep your details for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your record is suppressed or removed from active mailings. You can ask me to delete your data entirely at any time.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, just email me at donna@donnalaine.com and I'll sort it.
This website uses only essential cookies needed for it to work. If that changes, this policy will be updated and you'll be asked for consent where required.
If I update this policy, I'll change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes affecting how I use your data will be communicated to you directly.
This is a plain-language template provided as a starting point and should be reviewed against your final data practices before going live.
